Our Research

A3D3 aims to construct the knowledge essential for real-time applications of artificial intelligence in three fields of science: high energy physics, multi-messenger astrophysics and systems neuroscience. The institute aims to develop customized AI solutions to process large datasets in real time, significantly enhancing the potential for discovery.

Hardware and Algorithm Codevelopment

Domain scientists will work closely with AI and hardware experts to create and apply ecient algorithms that are the most e↵ective in exploiting structured scientific data and hardware-AI co-design.

High-energy physics

Our ultimate goal is to deploy a fully functional heterogeneous AI accelerated High Level Ttrigger systems for the LHC experiments.

Multi-messenger astronomy

We aim on engaging community to work with the low-latency infrastructures in order to enable the study of objects previously inaccessible to AI-based studies.


We aim to develop, test, and disseminate AI methods that are high-throughput and low-latency to enable significant advances in our understanding of brain function.
